Come join us in the historic country of Italy! From the west coast around the boot to the Adriatic Sea, you’ll witness iconic landscapes, magnificent churches, imposing palaces, ancient temples, elegant squares, incredible art galleries and museums.

Arrive at the doorstep of the world’s most hidden gems on an intimate ship unlike any other. Our ships’ size, style, and service all combine to deliver a true small-ship experience.

Our carefully curated immersive itineraries feature Extended Destination Days, including late nights and overnights, allowing you to experience more of the history, arts and local culture that make a destination truly memorable.

Sometimes, visiting a few ports within a country is not enough. That’s why we have pioneered the concept of Country-Intensive Voyages – itineraries that include the most iconic destinations as well as hidden gems, all within a single country.

Our itineraries do not stop at the shoreline. You can take your exploration to new heights with a variety of immersive Azamara Ashore land programs and locally inspired shore excursions that deliver personalized and authentic experiences.

The Italian Way of Life

Your journey begins in the Eternal City of Rome. Your next stop is an indulgent overnight stay in the port of Livorno, exploring the regions of Florence and Pisa—ending with a late-night departure for even more evening exploration. The lively streets of Florence host some of the country’s most impressive art and architecture, including the statue of David.

The next morning, experience the town of Portoferraio on the Italian island of Elba where echoes of Napoleon and the Medici family linger. Next, savor some Italian comfort food in Sorrento.

In Amalfi, drop into a bar and order the drink the region is best known for: limoncello. Looming high above Catania is Mount Etna. A visit to Sicily isn’t complete without a visit to Europe’s most active volcano.

Bathed in the golden Mediterranean sun and caressed by gentle sea breezes, Crotone, Italy, beckons visitors with its ancient allure. Delve into the local culture by visiting the Archaeological Park of Capo Colonna, home to the iconic Temple of Hera Lacinia.

Discover one of Italy’s best Magna Graecia museums in Taranto. As you travel the coast, you get a pitstop (and a late stay) in the charming city of Kotor, in Montenegro. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features a beautiful coastal view, bewitching cobblestone streets, and structures that date back to the Middle Ages.

After a day at sea, your Italian adventure ends amid the enchanting canals of Venice. Spend two glorious days discovering its winding cobblestone streets, stately cathedrals, lively piazzas, and charming shops.
